Wisconsin NOW is almost entirely volunteer run, with only one part-time staff person. We have many volunteer opportunities throughout the year, including tabling at community fairs around the state and the Madison farmer's market, speaking to different community groups about issues affecting women, participating in or starting a task force, attending legislative hearings and lobbying, and participating in public awareness campaigns. You can also run for a local or state NOW chapter office and become a leader for women in your community! To volunteer, send an email to admin@winow.org.

Letters to the editor of local papers are a great way to support pro-equality positions while educating people in your community about issues affecting women. We need volunteers who are willing to write and submit letters to their local papers. Sign up to be a letter writer and we will alert you to the issues and give you the information and resources you need to help write and submit your letter. Your community needs to hear from you! Celebrate women's equality in your very own home! Hosting an Equality NOW house party is a fun and easy way to educate and energize! You can host it in your own home or ask a local restaurant or bar to host a party. Wisconsin NOW will provide you with materials, support and a guest speaker to help make your party a success! If you would like to host an Equality NOW party, please send an email to admin@winow.org.
Take action in your local community or college by starting a NOW chapter or Campus Action Network! Organize with local feminists to take action and raise awareness on feminist issues. Wisconsin NOW will help you contact other feminists in your area to get your chapter going, as well as provide you with support and ideas for chapter actions. If you would like to start a local chapter, please send an email to admin@winow.org. By contributing just one to three hours a week YOU can help improve women's lives.
